2021 Project Grant Award Recipients

 

Artworks! Gwinnett ($15,000) To support development of Gwinnett County’s first creative economy master plan.

Button Art, Inc. ($2,500) – “Global Forum Button Sculpture”– a public art sculpture on Buford Highway to further the love of art in Gwinnett County, through public and private collaborations and engaging artists of all ages, cultures and media.

Live Arts Theatre ($2,000) Awarded to support “My Shot,” a dance workshop featuring a choreographer from the “Hamilton” touring show. The grant subsidized ticket costs for the audience, which was 100% attended by underserved students.

Spectrum Austism Group ($3,000) The creation of monthly arts workshops for an extraordinarily underserved audience- adult women on the autism spectrum.

Aurora Theatre ($15,000) – “Song and Dance”, metro Atlanta’s first major post-COVID musical production.

Gwinnett County Public Library ($15,000) Awarded to develop/support a first-time, community-wide, juried photography exhibtion, with curatorial support from the High Museum of Art.

Suwanee Performing Arts ($4,900) To support “Bard at the Barn,” a multi-day, outdoor Shakespeare production at Gwinnett’s bluegrass mecca, Everett Brothers Music Barn in Suwanee.

Atlanta International Night Market ($10,000) Awarded to support a festival whose mission is to “build a more inclusive Atlanta by creating festival, multicultural experiences and educational programming.”

The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning ($15,000) – The creation of the Hudgen's’ first Public Art Mural , created by celebrated Atlanta artist Jonesy.

Suwanee Public Arts Commission ($15,000) Awarded for the creation of “Amphitheater Stage Wings” at Town Center Park, a functional and accessible public art piece.
